Thanks for the show. I had no idea there was a Stangl/Unami record before this show , and those two guys are among my favourites. The track you played was very nice , whats the full album like ? I was supposed to ask something more but I forget....anyways - thanks again !

I'll let Richard answer your Stangl Unami question, as I've not heard the rest...looking forward to doing so, though.
OUr online recording failed again this week >sigh< . It won't be long before we have an alternative though. Stay tuned!

Right, i am back from the desolate wastes of Coventry, England, sorry for the delay in replies.
The Unami / Stangl is really good Lukas, i've enjoyed it a great deal. the track we played is pretty representative. Its really hard to describe what I like about it though. There is something nice about the complete contrast in music styles and approaches to a duo improvisation... Unami seems to just do his thing, make his noises, and Stangl winds his way into this... I'm sure its not as simple as that, but much of the charm if i was fo rme is about the contrasts between the two, instrument vs technology, clatter vs melody etc... and as a little taster, if you are a fan of Unami's work don't miss an exclusive on this week's show :)
Robert for once my mini disc recording worked and something should appear as Al says this weekend. Hope youre Ok and not working too hard.
Hey good news guys, look fwd to checking that out. I think I'm just gonna have to try to find a copy of that Unami/Stangl, I'm pretty much digging everything I'm hearing unami on these days.
Alas I am working way to hard Richard, but the end is in sight. We have to be absolutly done on Monday so that is the final end. By tomorrow we can only do critical fixes so things will be much less intensive.
Anyway hope you enjoyed your time off, some desolation is sounding really attractive to me. I may try to spend a few weeks out in the San Juan islands when we are done.
